Alignments

Alignments in Arklain work much like any given DnD game.
Alignments are comprised of two major choices:

The first is your choice on Chaotic, Neutral or Lawful. This gives the character's inclinations to obey rules, laws, have loyalties, be crazy, stable or carefree.

The second is Good, Neutral or Evil. This dictates the character's tendency to act towards others. Beneficially or maliciously etc.

The two choices combined gives the character's alignment. It is best to know what you want your character's personality to be and decide on the alignment based on that.

Chaotic Good:
Often called the Rebel, Chaotic good characters are generally good but will act in unorthodox manners without harming others. They are benevolent without feeling the need to be trapped by society.

Chaotic Neutral:
Often called the Free Spirit, this alignment is generally carefree and do what they like without much inhibition, they do not seem to feel any obligations to be Good or any compulsion to be Evil.

Chaotic Evil:
Often called the Destroyer, Chaotic Evil characters are generally erratic creatures, their actions seeming to cause destruction and pain for the sake of it with little to no personal gain involved.

Neutral Good:
Often called the Benefactor, this alignment is one that most healers take. Most of what the character does is for the benefit of others without being locked in laws and opinion. They are the best a good person can hope to be.

Neutral Neutral:
Known as the Undecided, these people lack any kind of conviction about the world either way. They have their own thoughts and opinions but does not hold to them with any strength. They are easily swayed but only temporarily.

Neutral Evil:
Often called the Malefactor, this alignment is the dead opposite to Neutral Good, the Malefactor will act against others for personal gain without reservation but is not insane in their evil. Most of the time he will act in ways favorable to himself and harmful to others without consideration.

Lawful Good:
This is what most call a Crusader. They are noble, law-abiding and often just a tad stuffy. Most cannot bear the thought of evil characters going unpunished. They will uphold honor, law and their own word upon their life.

Lawful Neutral:
Judge, this class is often overlooked when choosing classes. It is a class that has a tendency to be ordered whether personally or in a more wide basis. Either by an orderly personal life or preference for a well-ordered government, this class can hold laws and opinions in good stead without being a zealot.

Lawful Evil:
This alignment is often called Dominator, most that choose it are in it for one thing, power. They are not interested in petty personal gain. They want power and they will do anything to get it. Most of the current Arklain Council is considered Lawful Evil.
